Munchkin Sports understands that children want to play and have lots of fun. Learning football at an early age is the perfect platform for this. We are proud to offer football classes for 2 to 7-year-olds in West Wickham. We make sure your kids experience a fun time in our classes as we teach basic football skills using an exciting mix of music, colour and numbers.
In addition to learning essential football skills, your child will also develop their core motor skills in a safe and friendly environment. Our football classes are split into two age groups: 2 to 4-year-olds and 4 to 7-year-olds.
Learning Basic Football Skills
Our 45-minute classes for 2 to 4-year-olds introduce essential football skills, such as balance, agility and kicking the ball without picking it up. Teamwork is another key skill in football, so we emphasise and develop our munchkins’ social skills through fun team games that use coloured footballs. We also offer interactive pod-like games such as dribbling a football, passing and receiving and scoring a goal.
In our classes for 2 to 4-year-olds, we encourage parents to participate. They can cheer for their kids or guide them in making new friends on the field.
Participating in Football Games
For our 4 to 7-year-old munchkins, we offer a 60-minute football class. In this class, we develop their core football skills further by inviting them to participate in a friendly football game. For every game, we aim to refine their skills and add new skill sets such as defence and assisting other munchkins to score a goal. Our football games are an excellent outlet for our munchkins to identify their role in the team and hone their communication skills.
Similar to our classes for 2 to 4-year-olds, we also encourage parents to participate by cheering for their kids to motivate our munchkins to score their first goal.
