Rugby Classes for Kids in Crystal Palace

Rugby is a demanding sport that presents a formidable yet fun challenge to munchkins. Much like any team sport, it teaches kids the value of teamwork, healthy competition, and good sportsmanship. In addition to these values, the sport helps them hone physical skills such as hand-eye coordination, agility, and balance. All of these work toward the healthy development of munchkins.

All rugby-related activities and games are non-contact. This is to make sure that munchkins learn the sport in a fun and safe environment.

Our rugby classes in Crystal Palace are suitable for both girls and boys. We divided these classes into three age groups to better monitor their training and progress.

2 to 3 Years Old

For toddlers, our coaches introduce rugby through basic skills such as how to hold and kick the ball. Additionally, they are taught how to score a try and they use tackle bags to learn how to defend. These activities help kids improve their motor skills and develop their social skills.

3 to 4 Years Old

Once munchkins get older, they can move classes. For this age group, our coaches turn the focus towards rugby-specific drills. From touch rugby to timed team activities, our coaches facilitate games that develop better hand-eye coordination.

4 to 7 Years Old

When munchkins reach this age group, their classes will focus on the development of their core skills. Our coaches facilitate tag rugby games, a form of non-contact rugby that hones munchkins’ communication skills. The activities in this age group are centred on the improvement of their social skills, particularly during competition.
