Our netball classes gently introduce children to the game in a fun, supportive and structured environment, helping them build confidence, coordination and a love for sport from an early age.

Our Netball Munchkins classes for young children are the perfect introduction to kids netball classes, helping little ones build confidence, coordination and a love for sport in a fun and supportive environment.
At this stage, we focus on developing core movement skills including:

Alongside this, children are introduced to the fundamentals of netball, such as:
Catching and passing
Shooting and aiming
Simple teamwork activities
We place a strong emphasis on social development and teamwork, encouraging children to interact, share and build confidence through a variety of fun, structured games. Using colour-coded netballs, we create a safe and engaging environment that supports both learning and enjoyment.
Children will also take part in exciting, age-appropriate activities including:

Fun, small group activities
To help children feel comfortable and confident, parent participation is encouraged, making this a great bonding experience as well as an introduction to kids sports classes.

Our Netball Munchkins classes for ages 9–11 are designed to prepare children for the transition into club netball and junior netball coaching, helping them build confidence, skill and a deeper understanding of the game.
At this stage, we focus on advancing and refining core netball skills, while introducing more structured gameplay and techniques. Children will develop:
Different types of passing and ball control
Shooting techniques and accuracy
Movement, positioning and game awareness
Players are introduced to official netball rules and match play, giving them the opportunity to apply their skills in real game situations. During matches, children begin to learn netball positions and roles, while also developing their own confidence, creativity and style of play.
Our sessions provide the perfect balance of fun and structured learning, helping children progress towards school teams and local netball clubs while continuing to enjoy every session.

Venue & arrival details
Classes use the sports hall in autumn and spring, and the outdoor netball courts in summer. Park by the swimming pool and follow the path between the Junior School and the pool, looking out for the Munchkin flags.
